About the Role

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a dynamic Commercial Business Partner to support the effective delivery of financial and commercial insights, performance monitoring, and strategic budgeting. This is a great opportunity to contribute to strategic projects, drive operational improvements, and support collaborative team success in a purpose-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level support in financial analysis, budgeting, and performance monitoring
  • Develop and maintain efficient processes and service delivery standards
  • Analyse data and provide insights to guide decision-making
  • Coordinate funding submissions and evaluate commercial viability of opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Contribute to team development and continuous improvement
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maximise revenue and strategic outcomes


Skills and Experience Required

  • Tertiary qualifications in business or accounting
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards accreditation
  • Proven experience in data analytics, reporting, or research
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail and data integrity
  • Experience in developing business cases and strategic financial planning
  • Understanding of government policies and funding processes


Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A National Police Check
